"ADHD Awareness Week" October 14-20
ADHD and ADD are neurological disorders, affecting about 9.5% of children and roughly 4% of adults. Symptoms can persist throughout a lifetime, affecting every aspect of one's efforts to build and sustain personal and professional relationships.
In order to diagnose ADHD, mental health professionals have traditionally used a symptoms checklist to gather information about behavior, along with other health screeenings, like vision and hearing. If all of the criteria for ADHD are met, a diagnosis of the disorder will be made.
Recent scientific advancements have resulted in the development of the QEEG or brain map imaging which provides a more objective scientific tool for revealing abnormal brain wave patterns associated with ADHD.
Do you or your child have ADHD/ADD? Call us to learn more about how a QEEG and neurofeedback training can help correct brain wave dysregulation -- without drugs or invasive procedures -- and alleviate ADHD symptoms naturally.
