Women of BFC

March 2011

Happy International Women's Day!

In this week's issue we are trying to narrow down and provide information for women interested in aviation. We have done a bit of research to find available Canadian scholarships and funding opportunities for women. Money has been one of the notable issues or barriers that women (as well as men) have come across in becoming involved in aviation. We hope that this information will be helpful!

We are also going to be putting together a survey to narrow down these barriers that women go through, if you have any ideas or suggestions for the type of barriers you have overcome or are still overcoming we would appreciate your input.

The idea of the Women's Aviation Network is to help others to realize that getting involved in aviation can be just as attainable as getting a college or university degree; with the right information, sources and network you can get a scholarship or funding for a future in aviation. Nothing's impossible!
