DC Elders $2000 matching grant challenge!

Last week, we asked our fellow DC area Zetes to join us in supporting the Washington Scholars Fellowship Program (WSFP)  - the best Leadership experience we can offer an undergraduate.  Our goal was to raise $4000 to support an additional WSFP intern this summer.

The unwavering generosity of Admiral James Carey is getting us there faster!  Adm. Carey has offered to match the first $2000 donated by you, our fellow DC Zetes, by April 30th to help support an additional WSFP intern!

This is an amazing act of generosity, and a great incentive to us all to make our own gifts go further!  Please CLICK HERE to make a tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, or more to the WSFP TODAY, and take Admiral Carey up on his matching grant challenge!

Georgetown Interest Group Letter!

GTown
Our Georgetown expansion continues as this group of outstanding scholars, atheletes, and worthy young men is about to induct its 20th pledge - meeting the requirement for Zeta Psi 'Colony' Status, which we will petition for at the 161st Convention in Montreal this August 13 - 16!
a brief note from the group:

"Dear Zeta Psi DC Elders, we have successfully inducted six brothers into the Georgetown University Interest Group and are working towards the induction of eight more pledges in our first pledge class.  Our first pledge class has just elected its first pledge class president and secretary.  As we move to induct these pledges into our interest group, we are also working to recruit new students for a second pledge class.  We plan to, and if present indications remain constant, will, become a colony by the end of the current semester.  We also plan on reaching full chapter status during the next school year.  In a few weeks we will have our first major social event, which will serve to introduce our fraternity to the Georgetown student body.  We are about to complete two chapter projects, one per class, and have begun work on establishing Zeta Psi as an elite fraternity within Georgetown. We have already accomplished many of our initial goals and are looking forward to completing many more. We are becoming better known every day throughout the student body and soon, we will become one of the most influential groups within our school.  Sincerely, Zeta Psi Interest Group of Georgetown University"

Our goal is to hold their Chartering Banquet to coincide with our March 7, 2009 DC Elders Spring Formal.  Thanks to the enormous generosity and support of our elders in donations of both time and money, we are well on schedule and looking forward to a successful chartering!  We're also looking forward to future expansion opportunities in the DC area at George Washington, George Mason, and American Universities.

Success breeds success, and we are on a roll!
