4th Annual Spring banquet a SUCCESS!
And an unqualified success at that - with over 75 Zetes and dates in attendance and a great time had by all! With our Current Phi Alpha, four past Phi Alpha's, representation from 25 chapters, two countries, and over fifty years of Zeta Psi Brotherhood, this was a GREAT evening! We hope those of you who couldn't join us this year will enjoy looking through our photo-log available on our website HERE, attend future DC Elder events, and join us next March for the 5th Annual Formal!

Georgetown expansion Suceeding
Our Georgetown expansion continues with our first 6 men officially inducted (though not yet initiated), and an additional 8 'tapped' in as pledges in the second pledge class. We are well on our way to Colony status by Convention in Montreal! We also continue to explore leads at George Mason and other campuses. WHAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE?? YOU DID! Last summer, our Capital Region Scholarship Program was made possible by the generosity of you, our local alumni, who contributed $3000 towards scholarships! Your support allowed us to grant $2000 in scholarships (with another $1000 reserved for this coming summer!) and introduced us to a number of local students, particularly the founder and president of Georgetown effort!
THANK YOU to those alumni who contributed towards this highly successful effort: Dan Backer, Admiral James Carey, Brian Foderaro, Thomas Hazen, Ozgur Karaosmanoglu, Maclane Key, Joe Kotalik, Jay Leblang, Brian McManus, Anthony Napolitano, David Parker, Jay Rothberg, Andy Russo, Lauck Walton, Mark Williams.
Thank you to those who have served as 'big brothers' to our inaugural class: Mirgim Jusufi (Xi), Henri Makembe (Phi Epsilon), Jason Nguyen (Phi Epsilon), Chris Pistritto (Theta), Devin Rose (Phi Epsilon), Jeremy Snyder (Phi Epsilon), Jordan Spore (Lambda Psi). And special thanks to the 'Pledge Trainer' of this group, Rob Trombley (Xi/Michigan '07) who has truly lead the way and made this effort possible! | |

Washington Scholars continues to excel!
pictured: WSFP alumni with the President of the United States!
The premiere internship in the fraternity world, our Washington Scholars Fellowship Program, hit a new milestone, with over 75 applicants for the summer 2008 class!
With such tremendous potential in this class, the only limiting factor is cost - at $4000/intern for housing and stipend, this class could cost more than $275,000! With a budget that can barely support a third of applicants, the WSFP is looking for every way to stretch its limited dollars and take more interns.
WE CAN HELP! It was our local DC alumni who came together to support the Capital Scholarship program last summer - to amazing results. I'd like to challenge our local DC Elders to support this worthy effort as well, by raising $4000 - the cost of a single intern. This is our opportunity to support the best part of Zeta Psi, and its enormous impact on the interns, the chapters they return to, and the communities they become leaders of. PLEASE JOIN ME in supporting the Washington Scholars Program with a small donation of $50, $100, or more TODAY!
