  • Zeta Psi has hired new staff!

Current Phi Alpha Dave Hunter, Univ. of Texas/IA ‘1980 has stepped in as the Chief Operating Officer of Zeta Psi while a full staff search is underway. Dan Backer, UMASS-Amherst/YM ’99 has been retained as Development Director as well, and Chris Bond continues as our road-warrior Director of Chapter Operations. The new team has made a commitment to visit each and every chapter this spring to help strengthen & improve our fraternal bonds. You can email Dave anytime at dhunter@zetapsi.org.

Spring Leadership Training Institutes & Alumni get-togethers!

Our two remaining spring Zeta Psi Educational Foundation Leadership Training Institute (LTI) dates and locations are as follows: Madison, WI: March 24- 26, 2006, Easton, PA: April 7-9, 2006.

LTI IS FOR EVERYONE – offering valuable new programs for Pledges, brothers, and upperclassmen, and a great chance for alumni to reconnect as presenters or just by attending the evening ‘elbow-rub’ events! And if you are an Elder and are interested in serving as a member of our faculty at any of these locations, please contact Dan Backer at dbacker@zetapsi.org or call at (202) 210-5431.

Zeta Psi Chapters - 50 by Philly!

Over the last few months there has been an incredible burst of energy and interest in Zeta Psi – as older chapters have re-emerged, new chapters have been chartered and new colonies and interest groups approach us! With all this momentum, Zeta Psi’s goal is to see 50 chapters, colonies, and interest groups by our Philadelphia convention – for the first time in many years – and to continue strengthening these groups and growing more over the coming year!

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MAY BE ZETE MATERIAL? Your referrals at quality campuses around the country are critical to help us expand – email Dan Backer with any candidate students or schools!

CHAPTER Spotlight– Highlighting Undergraduate and Elder groups across North America

Continued success in our Zeta Psi Washington DC Elders Association and other Regional Alumni Clubs!

Saturday March 4th 2006 saw over 52 Zete’s & dates representing nearly half our chapters gather for the Second Annual Zeta Psi Washington DC Elders Association Formal Dinner. A great evening of fun and Zete camaraderie was had by all at our flagship Regional Alumni Club! Pictures of this great event will be up soon at the DC Elders Website

More events and clubs are in the works in New York, Boston, Chicago, Southern California, Phoenix, Dallas, and more! We hope many of you will be able to join the fun in your respective cities! In particular, a number of Zete events are being planned around the US and Canada for the weekend of June 3 & 4 to commemorate our Founding! If you’d like to get involved with one of these groups, help start your own, or just come attend an event and join your Brothers in Tau Kappa Phi, let us know!!

Washington Scholars Program- Special Congressional internship opportunity!
    Washington Scholars at Convention

A special opportunity has just arisen on the Staff of Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine - we have been invited to place a Zete who is from Maine on her staff here in Washington, DC for the summer through the Washington Scholars Fellowship Program! It doesn't matter what chapter they are from, or what year they are in school, or even if post-grad within the last year or so – only that they be from Maine. This is a super opportunity for a young Zete, and we're asking that you forward this message to anyone you know who fits the above criteria! We want very much to be able to respond to this kind offer from the Senator.
