The Company will close the curtain on a fantastic 2011-2012 season with Celebration! on May 19 and 20th at Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater in New Brunswick where the Company will unveil new scenes from Douglas Martin's new Romeo and Juliet, and will perform favorites from the repertory including Gerald Arpino's Confetti, Mary Barton's Straight Up With a Twist, and Patrick Corbin's Follia.
The School is excited to present its 2012 Spring Production of Don Quixote on May 5th at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial! Tickets will be available at the door. Please come and bring friends and family! The Access & Enrichment department wrapped up DANCE POWER last month with "Waiting in the Wings" (see video highlights below) and has been hitting the streets, bringing dance to community events like Communiversity, Rutgers Day and Arts on Division. Coming up: new educational works are being produced to bring to schools and events! Join us for behind the scenes "access" to ARB at: On Pointe May 11 and our Post-Performance Insights May 20 (details below).

ARB will close its 2011-2012 season with a feast of exciting and enchanting works. The program will be headlined by excerpts from Douglas Martin's new Romeo and Juliet and will also feature ARB repertory favorites, including Gerald Arpino's buoyant, tarantella-inspired Confetti,Patrick Corbin's critically acclaimed Follia, and Mary Barton's sprightly and innovative Straight Up with a Twist.

Arts on Division, Somerville
May 19, 5:00pm - ARB Trainees perform! Arts on Division in Somerville, NJ is a celebration of NJ artists featuring live performances, visual art galleries, crafters, and more. Check out their Facebook!
with Jo Carney, professor of English at The College of New Jersey and ARB Company Director Douglas Martin. May 20 at 4:00pm at Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater, following the Company's 2PM Celebration! performance.
Jo Carney's scholarship and teaching focus on Shakespeare, early modern literature, and the literary fairy tale tradition. Her forthcoming book is on the representation of queenship in the early modern historical and fairy tale traditions.

CORRECTION! 50th Annual Nutcracker in 2013!

How embarrassing...A recent, careful unearthing of archives has uncovered that the 50th annual Nutcracker at McCarter Theater is to be celebrated in 2013, not 2012!
The History: While Audrée Estey first choreographed and produced a version of The Nutcracker in 1956 and 1962 at McCarter Theatre, it was done as a spring production in those early years! The first Holiday performance was co-produced by McCarter in 1964 and has been done every year since then, making it one of our community's great Holiday Traditions. So, please stay tuned for our 50th Annual Production of The Nutcracker in 2013!
