Dear CTKers,
Arrows Out generic logo
I recently found myself in a conversation with a pastor in California who was curious about the CTK model of church planting. He asked me, "What sets CTK apart from other church planting organizations?"  Although many things came to my mind, the one that I mentioned is at CTK we don't just talk about grace - we really practice it. Our cadre of pastors includes a number of men who have failed in the past.  These failings include crises of faith, burnout, and moral failures which would make them un-hireable by most churches.  But at CTK we believe that God can resurrect anyone from the failures of their past - and even use them in ministry leadership.  This is true not just for pastors, but for every person who comes into a CTK small group or worship center.  It's great to be part of God's story here at CTK.

Sincerely,
Director, CTK Network Resources
BUMBERPALOOZA Music-fest coming to Anacortes, WA
bumberpalooza09On Friday, June 18th  CTK Anacortes will partner with the ministries of Catapult Music and Youth Dynamics, and organizations such as Northwest Bands Dot Com and the Anacortes Red Cross to host the 4th annual BUMBERPALOOZA, a free community music event designed to reach out to the youth of Skagit County and the participating musicians.

BUMBERPALOOZA is a drug and alcohol free outdoor festival highlighting the best emerging artists from Seattles' all-age music community.  It will begin at 2PM and continue until 10PM, at Washington Park on the northwest corner of Fidalgo Island.  Bumberpalooza is a "pre-evangelistic" event, giving opportunity for non believers and believers to engage with one another in a creative and non threatening atmosphere, while gaining believers the credability to pursue redemptive relationships in the future.

CTK Anacortes will be on site to assist with the needs of  students and to foster relationship building. Creating an unforgettable and encouraging drug and alcohol free event for the artists is a major objective. Our goal is to demonstrate the hope of the gospel, to inspire a hunger for Jesus, and to provide the best possible professional support. We hope to practically demonstrate lives of service and faith as we help launch them toward their musical careers. Please pray that God will prepare the hearts and minds of those who will attend the festival. Pray that He will guide and direct words and actions as we attempt to reach out to those who don't know Him. MORE INFORMATION
CTK Nairobi moving to new site

cake cutting in NairobiIn the May CTKNews, the need for CTK Nairobi to secure funding for a new site to meet was shared.  In response to this need, CTK Whidbey Island (WA) has stepped up to provide the funds necessary for the first year's lease on an undeveloped piece of property.  This will allow the congregation to continue having somewhere to meet, although in a temporary structure.  The congregation will be working to fund the creation of a temporary structure, but welcomes donations to assist in this endeavor.  To support this project, go to http://ctkonline.com/giving.

Burlington (WA) prepares for move to new, larger space
Having outgrown the renovated theater in downtown Burlington, the congregation of CTK Burlington (WA) is moving to a new space just north of the downtown corridor.  Volunteers from the congregation have been working hard over the past 6 months to turn an empty warehouse into a comfortable and modern worship space.  Funds for this building project have come 100% from sacrificial giving by the people of CTK Burlington.  Starting Sunday June 20, CTK Burlington will meet at 988 Fountain St. Sunday morning worship will be at 9:30 and 11:00am.
