What's new?
Editor's Corner

At a recent meeting I mentioned to people how thankful I was for how God had been so faithful to CTK this year in light of the financial struggles so many are facing.  I was then asked, "If we were NOT able to pay the bills, would that mean God was not faithful?"  Hmmm.  Good question.  And it has reminded me to give thanks in ALL circumstances, and to trust Him even when I can't see what He's up to.

Pastor Yedidya fights off illness, continues Kingdom work in IndiaNalgonda pastor receives ordination certificate.
Typhoid fever struck with a vengeance, but Continental Pastor Yedidya Parker of CTK India has fought back from serious medical conditions to continue his work for CTK in India.  Special thanks goes out to donors across the CTK network who sent special donations to help cover Yedidya's medical expenses during and following his hospitalization in October.

Just days after leaving the hospital, Pastor Yedidya led a pastors' conference in the Nalgonda District of Andhra Pradesh, sharing the vision of CTK and sending out many new CTK pastors as a result. View pictures

CTK Arlington planning annual trip to Panama

PanamaWaterTank2009Did you know? Arlington, Stanwood and Bocas del Toro , Panama, are sister cities in an amazing venture to save the lives of children through provision of clean water.  Operation Safe Drinking Water, an international non-profit organization, got its start at Stanwood CTK several years ago. Today hundreds of isolated indigenous children and their families in Panama are experiencing new health and hope.  Fresh, clean local water from recently installed rain water tanks is keeping them safe from illnesses that in the past left them sick and discouraged.

CTK of Arlington has become the primary partner to inspire people to serve, to travel, and to give.  For the last 6 years, during spring break, a team from Stanwood and Arlington travel to Panama. Builders install water systems, medical and dental professionals treat patients, and young people assist in construction and interact with the local children.

Would you like to join us on our next trip in March?  We still have room for those with building and construction experience as well as those who are fluent in Spanish.  For more information contact Aleph at 360-939-0659 or visit the web sites www.ctkpanama09.jalbum.net and www.opwater.org/.
Whidbey CTKers brave wind and cold water baptism
Whidbey Baptism 20091115
The November 15 baptism service at Windjammer Park (Oak Harbor, WA) will be sure to stick in the memory of the four adults who braved 30 mph winds and the frigid saltwater in order to declare their allegiance to Jesus Christ.  Pastor Todd King and worship leader Scott Goldman helped those baptized in and out of the water in record time as 30 people watched and celebrated their commitment.  View pictures
CTK Pakistan seeks help to purchase van

Shahbaz JohnIn Pakistan, Pastor Shahbaz John continues to lead efforts to share the good news of the Gospel with the people there.  Shahbaz heads a team of pastors that minister in over 20 communities in Pakistan.  These pastors work together to not only share the gospel and disciple new believers, but also do as much as they can to provide humanitarian aid to the poor.

In order to make their efforts more efficient, the leaders of CTK Pakistan hope to be able to purchase a Toyota van which will be able to withstand the rigors of the mountainous terrain of Pakistan.  Shahbaz has sacrificially stated he is willing to trade in his private vehicle to help make this a reality.  This will leave about $5,000 left for them to raise to purchase the van.
