God Shows Up Big in Nampa
Getting past cancer surgery and back in the leadership saddle is feeling really good. The leaders in all areas of CTK Nampa never faltered in their commitment to keep morale high and to keep the main thing the main thing. God has affirmed once again that leaders are supposed to invest in leaders, and that has been the focus of my reentry as I am healing. The third full week of January was my first week at connecting and reinforcing the vision of our leadership and the payoff was instant the next weekend (with 5 new families in attendance).

I am so thankful that we plant and water and He brings the growth. In the past few weeks eight people have made a profession of faith, we have started a great New Believers class, our numbers are increasing, and God is showing up big in all of our meetings. In this tough economy several key people have been laid off, but we are still committing to having nine men attend the Arrows Out Conference on the 28th of this month.

Our current meeting venue in Nampa is way too expensive for us right now, so my prayer request is that God would open the doors for a place that is "CTK unique" and affordable. I am more convinced than ever that our country needs the fresh grace and authenticity that is abundant in our story. Thanks for the many prayers, please don't stop.

Shipment to CTK Kenya

An organization in Tacoma, WA is preparing to send a container with ministry supplies to Pastor Austin Oyula of CTK Kenya.  The project, known as "The Gathering Project", will send the container in March.  Bicycles, an old treadle sewing maching, and miscellaneous items have already been secured.  Pastor Austin has also requested hair cutting tools and supplies, as well as shoes.

If you are interested in helping pay for the shipping of this container, or to donate goods, please contact Todd Oakes of CTK Burlington.
2010 Census Opportunity
The U.S. Census Bureau is testing for 2010 Census workers right now.  Jobs start at $17.50 an hour plus 58.5¢ a mile.  Folks have to call 866-861-2010 to sign up for a test date.  Testing locally for the 2010 Census.

This could be a great opportunity to meet others in your community.

Do you have computer and writing skills you would like to use for God's Kingdom?  Recent changes to CTK's central office staffing are requiring more volunteer help from CTK people like you.   If you are interested in helping produce this monthly newsletter, please contact Don Jaques at 360-421-4285.  I am grateful for those who have already volunteered, but there is still room for more help.
