As we enter a New Year, what a perfect time to harness the energy of renewal and new beginnings. Let's together take action and shake off procrastinating doings things you have put off and get it done!
Get it Done!
Procrastination is an uncomfortable, debilitating and frustrating habit that no doubt blocks you (that sneaky old saboteur) from doing the things you want to set out to do.
I know from my own experience, when I have something emotional that distressing me, I put things off. And I can put things off for a long time, like this newsletter :)
Many people procrastinate when they feel angry, resentful, overwhelmed or their life just isn't the way they want it to be. The vibrations of blocked emotions can pull you down, thus limiting you to m-o-v-e f-o-r-w-a-r-d.
Let's move forward together!
The key here is to recognize your behavior and start tapping on how you feel. EFT(Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a wonderful way to give your voice a platform to acknowledge those feelings.
Today, I went to the beach near my house (it's cold here in NY) and I sat on a rock with my dog and I thought, here's a good place to tap on a feeling I was having about someone's actions. When I was done, I can't begin to tell you how free I felt. I completely let go of any negative feelings I had toward that person and came to a higher feeling of forgiveness.
I also tapped procrastinating on this newsletter. And success! Here I am!
So what is stopping you to m-o-v-e forward so you can:
Have healthier eating habits Exercise more often Let go of a toxic relationship Clean your clutter Create more positive friends Attract abundance Feel peace and bliss within yourself?
Are you having the inability to move forward despite your determination to do so? Are you an expert at finding something else to do instead of what you really need/want to do?
Get it Done!
When you tap for feelings and conflicts underneath the procrastination, your behavior and manifestations will inevitably improve because you are moving your energy not only in your body but in your mind too!

EFT SETUP PHRASES
Rate your intensity on the emotion you are feeling about the issue 1-10 (with 10 being very upset)
While tapping on the Karate chop point on either hand, repeat these phases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).
1."Even though I'm so disappointed at myself that I can't stop procrastinating, I love and accept myself anyway".
2."Even though I can't seem to make myself do what I need to do, I accept who I am and how I feel".
3."Even though I can't believe I haven't ______________ yet, I choose to give myself permission to do it now.
The Reminder Phases
Tap on:
Beginning of Eyebrow: "So disappointed, can't stop procrastinating"
Side of Eye: "What's the matter with me?"
Under Eye: "Don't make me get things done"
Under Nose: "I do want to move forward but something is getting in my way"
Chin: "I feel so disappointed and frustrated with myself"
Collarbone: "Maybe I don't want to change this habit"
Under Arm: "I don't like this stuck feeling"
Top of Head: "What if I gave myself permission to move forward slowly?"
Close your eyes and take a breath and a sip of water.
How do you feel rate your feelings now, on a scale 1-10?
If the numbers are going down, you are starting to feel better. You might want to tap a few more rounds using the phases above to continue clearing the feelings. If they stay the same or go up, you have an underlying issue that's in the way of reaching your goal to get things done.
Here are some suggestions for tapping on a "hidden" issue:
Eyebrow: "I wonder why I'm afraid to move forward?"
Under Eye: "Maybe I just don't know how to move forward"
Under nose: "What if I made a decision now to just do it?"
Chin: "Don't ask me to just get it done, it takes too much of my energy"
Collarbone: "What if I can start fresh and just __(project)______________, that would be great and I would feel so much better about myself"
Side of Rib: "Boy, I must really want to get things done if I'm spending all this time preparing for it"
Top of head: "I appreciate all parts of me and I choose to say YES YES YES to taking action and getting it all done now!"
I hope this has assisted you on your journey to get something done you were putting off for a long time. Think of how good you'll feel! I do!
