Catherine Hay
Catherine Hay
As a native Oregonian growing up in the Willamette Valley, Catherine gained an awareness and appreciation for wine at a young age. After graduating with degrees in European History
and Political Science, she spent three years on Capitol Hill (aka the 'other' Washington) before realizing it was time to rekindle her love of wine. Fueled by her childhood memories,
Catherine began a 10-year exploration of wine and hasn't looked back.
Beginning in 1997, she built on her early roots through national sales and marketing with several U.S. wine importing companies representing both New and Old World wines.
Armed with over ten years of experience in both wholesale and retail wine arenas, Catherine now brings her knowledge, enthusiasm and passion to individual clients encouraging them to explore wine from from all over the world
She shares her philosophy that wine is always accessible as well as educational with the belief that "wine should be experienced in community; never hesitate to raise a glass with friends and family in celebration of life."

Gamay Beaujolais Varietal Wine Tasting Seminar

Nov. 17, 2009 Tuesday Night

ANYTHING but NOUVEAU!!

Why wait until the traditional release of Beaujolais Nouveau on the third Thursday of November? Come experience the 'other' face of Beaujolais at L'Auberge de Seattle on Tuesday, November 17th!

Build on your knowledge about the region by tasting an assortment of wines from some of the more notable vineyards of this ancient appellation that lies north of the Rhone and south of Burgundy. All wines will be classic yet diverse expressions from the designated grape, Gamay Noir. Expand your paradigm about Beaujolais -- discover some fabulous new wines with ideal body and character just in time for your Thanksgiving feast!

Cheers,
