Don't miss our hands-on Basque Tapas Class this Friday Evening. Chef Shannon Herman will us her passion for food and wine to organize and create a memorable dining experience using flavor, colors and imagination while you explore the culture and cuisine from the French Basque region. This special occasion Basque Tapas class is this Friday evening Sept. 29, 2006 6:00 to 9:30ish for $65.00 per person.


Basque Tapas Menu

Menu items: In this class we will prepare some of the most authentic and delicious recipes for a perfect Tapas evening paired with a Spanish wines and Sherry tasting. Some of the recipes we will indulge in will be:

  • Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelet)
  • Marinated olives and roasted peppers in herb infused olive oil
  • Gambas al Ajillo (prawns with garlic sauce)
  • Tomato toasts with Manchego cheese and Spanish ham
  • Mussels Vinaigrette
  • Fried Calamari with traditional allioli
  • Roasted Marcona almonds with apricot bread and Cabrales cheese




Our Evening Dinner Cooking Classes come complete with fine china, crystal, linen, and sterling silver settings making this a truly exquisite experience for all.. Shannon Herman has been a chef, caterer and food and wine instructor, and a lover of all things culinary for 18 years. She was classically trained at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and studied in Copenhagen, Denmark.

She has worked in restaurants, wine and catering companies in the Northwest and the Bay area and had her own catering company/private chef services for nine years and is currently is on staff at the Seattle Culinary Academy.
