Fall is in the air and it's time again at L'Auberge for
our Seasonal Menu Dinner Cooking Classes. For the
month of October we are featuring Chef Karen
Jurgensen. Our mission is to
feature great Chefs who will teach world class
cuisine and recipes that are centered
on the
freshest of the seasonal bounty available in the
Pacific Northwest. This will be a fun and memorable
adventure in the kitchen. Perhaps you'll learn
something new that you can duplicate at home to
enchant guests at your next dinner party. Join

Seasonal Dinner Cooking Classes Featuring Chef Jurgensen

Karen Jurgensen says "I am a Washington grown girl
inspired to cook by my grandmother who took me
foraging and showed me the adventure side of the
kitchen." With that inspiration, Kären Jurgensen is
currently the Chef
Instructor at Quillisascut Cheese Company?s Farm
School and at Seattle Culinary Academy teaching
professional chefs, culinary students and agricultural
professionals, farm to table practices and
philosophy. Kären serves as president of the Seattle
chapter of Chefs Collaborative. Kären is active in the
food community, sitting on the WSDA small farm and
direct marketing advisory board, she is an advisory
board member for the regional Food Policy Council, a
member of Slow Food, and a member and mentor of
Women Chef?s and Restaurateurs, a member and civic
agriculture project mentor for Les Dames de
Escoffier. She is the co-author of Rethinking the
Kitchen, the sustainable kitchen handbook.
Each of our classes consists of four courses. Expect
the table to be exquisitely appointed with crystal
stemware, sterling silverware, fine china and hand
embroidered table linen. Seating is limited. The
