| TUNISIAN OF THE MONTH |
 |
|
There are many instances where the actvities or
businesses of some non Tunisian-Americans impact
our community in the United States in a very positive
way. So, it is always our pleasure to
regularly write about those individuals in the
Community Gazette.
The following is an interview conducted
online and in person (both in New York and in Tunis)
with film producer
Hajer Ben Nasr.

| MOSQUES OF DJERBA |
 |
|
There is memorial publication supported by the
School
of Architecture and Planning at The Catholic University
of America, entitled: The Mosques Of Djerba.
The exquisite hand made drawings are the
result of a field
trip former Peace Corps architect Stan Hallet led to
Tunisia
in 1989. Following a recent trip to Djerba with
students, Stan re-photographed one of the mosques
and pulled
together these often exhibited drawings, producing a
high-quality
art book that should appeal to anyone with an
interest in the Tunisian culture and traditional
architecture.

| THE STUDENT LOUNGE |
 |
|
The Tunisian Student Federation repesents the
cross-generational relationship within our community.
It
is, therefore, gratifying to be able to publish the
following report on the latest event organized by the Tunisian
Student Club at UC Berkeley, submitted by club
president Meriem Ben-Salah.
