| TUNISIAN OF THE MONTH |
 |
|
The Tunisian Community Gazette regularly conducts
interviews with positive role models as part of our
organization's ongoing effort of highlighting the value
of our community. In this issue, we are showcasing
student-athlete Haythem Abid, a high achiever who
has consistently displayed visible pride in his
Tunisian heritage.
On July 24, 2009, he good-naturedly agreed
to do the following online/telephone interview with the
Gazette.

| HAPPY RAMADHAN! |
 |
|
Ramadhan is the month that represents
renewal of
spiritual overhaul for Moslems: greater religious
adherence, reflection and special devotion
to family and greater goodwill towards others.
The
daylight hours abstinence from all
objects of appetite that takes place during Ramadhan
is beneficial to the health and teaches self control
and sympathy for the less fortunate.
This year, Ramadan will start in the US on
August 22nd.
