Robert J Riesberg Antiques

Fine 17th, 18th, and 19th Century Antiques

Greetings,
First, a quick reminder  and invitation to our Saturday Open House , noon to 6:00 for those of you close by. We're happy to have so many recent finds to offer and look forward to your visit.

The three pieces shown here were just purchased by us and fortunately were delivered in the last few days in time for our event
The mirror is 18th century and is a Louis XVI piece still retaining old finish with a well patinaed gilt having a slight touch of dull green. Height 52".
The blackamoor is 18th or 19th century Italian and can be easily pictured in a Venetian hallway. These figures often held lights. This one in particular holds a candelabra (not shown in this image) off her shoulder and a candleholder in her open hand. The coloring is robust and detailed. Height is 41" without the candelabra.
The provincial Louis XVI desk has great old patina with deep and rich carving. The lid displays a violin, bow, a trumpet, a French horn, and more against a backgound of a vining leafage. The dawers are also carved. The interior has pigeon holes as well as hidden drawers. All is in sound condition with no major repairs or alterations.

May we answer further questions or provide more detailed images? We look forward to your call or visit. This update provides only partial updates to our collection. we promise new acquisitions for your inspection each week.

   Warm regards,
   Bob Riesberg
