At top, a gilt Italian neoclassical pier mirror, late 18th century with a ribbon crest, flanking urns, and a swag apron is of significant size. Old mirror plate as found. H. 60", w. 23 1/2". $2975.
The unusual small drop leaf stand is French, Charles II, circa 1825. It is precisely made of rosewood with fine light wood inlay in arabesques and line detail. All in good order with original brass castors. H. 27. ", top 27.5" x 14.75' closed. $995.
The two interesting dark green English Regency caned seat armchairs, circa 1805, offer elegance in their thin and cleanly draw classical lines and paint decorated details. Overall green paint refreshed. The inset plaques are still in the original paint depicting playful putti, in one scene tipping a wine urn. H. 32", w. 20', d. 32". $1950 for this companion pair.
The French soft paste compote or tazza is transferware offers a farm scene at center, "Le Coq et la Perle" and numerous romantic scenes below the rim and between rosettes. "Paris ...exposition...1819"Marked in a cartouche. 9.5" diameter.
Both of the Chinese export pieces are from a local collection and were purchased long ago from famous Chinese export specialist and dealer , Elinor Gordon. The reticulated fruit basket is painted with floral designs of vining tendrils. The outer surface has applied rosettes in polychrome above a gilt spearhead border outlined in red. L. 6.6". No damage, 18th century, $245.
The tea caddy is faced with pseudo armorials of facing birds within a blue and gilt ring and wreath in typical western market fashion. The shoulders are blue and gilt bands with a blue spearhead inner rim. Minor old repair to neck, cracked and reglued lid. Late 18th century. H.5.5". $150. The decorated peacock form box with swivel lid is 19th century Russian. the bottom is hand planed. Polychrome decoration with gilt. L. 6.5".
Also appearing on the table top in the first picture is white glass decorated oil French lamp, now electrified, 19th century, covered with swags and ribbons. Note 3" crack at neck, charming. Base 4" diameter. Overall height 17.5" with shade.
