Fine 17th, 18th, and 19th Century Antiques

Greetings,
We are pleased to offer a lovely group of furniture that we acquired just this weekend from an elegant lakefront home. Also, from our travels, I can now offer this most enticing English landscape with  a great provenance. Please enjoy the images and know that I am glad to provide further pictures and details that you may require.
The landscape, "Driving Sheep" is painted by James Linnell, a 19th century British artist. It is signed in the lower left on this oil on canvas. The back displays a label from the famous London gallery, Agnews. According to the attached gilt plaque, the painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1864.
James T. Linnell specialized in rather panoramic country views, typically with animals and children. Here the shepherd guides the flock as his family and helpers look on. Distant hills can be seen to the right below a blue sky with puffy white clouds. Wonderful details of flowers and foliage abound.
Site 27 1/2" x 39". Please call for further details.

This fine walnut George I  18th century side chair has a carved strap work back above carved cabriole legs with leafage above modified trifid feet, possibly Irish. W. 22", d. 21.5", h. 33". For the discriminating chair buyer, $950.
Please note the butler's tray, 19th century, mahogany on a later folding stand. there is a very nice polish on this with some minor losses at corners. 32" x 22", h. 31.5". $350.
The dish top 18th century Georgian pedestal stand is unusual for its oval dish top. This the only oval top we have ever had. Again, great polish and depth of color. Rarity at $ $1150.  Top 23.5" x 15.75", x  h. 31.5"
19th century Japanese Imari charger. No repair or damage. Large 16" diameter. Two panels hold garden scenes against an iron red ground filled with stylized flowers bound by a blue diaper-work border. Opportunity at $265.

May we answer further questions or provide more detailed images? We look forward to your call or visit. This update provides only partial updates to our collection. we promise new acquisitions for your inspection each week.

   Warm regards,
