Urgent News from the Friends of Madera Canyon

Greetings!
It is time to speak up about the proposed Rosemont Mine! As many of you have likely heard by now, last Saturday's Forest Service Meeting was dominated by Rosemont supporters. WE CANNOT LET THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN! Please pledge to attend the hearing this Saturday, Nov. 19th, 1-5 pm at Empire High School, 10701 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way, Tucson, AZ, by responding here:
RSVP to attend the public hearing on Nov. 19th If you have ever wanted to speak up to save the Santa Rita Mountains from the proposed Rosemont mine, it is imperative that you attend an upcoming Forest Service hearing. We know the opposition is strong, but we MUST come together in full force at these meetings! If you aren't comfortable speaking, that's okay - we still need you to show up. If you would like to speak, make sure to get there early and fill out a comment card before Rosemont supporters fill up the queue. Volunteers will be available before the hearing to answer questions and provide comment suggestions.
Please watch and share this video of last Saturday's hearing, and more importantly, use it as motivation to show up at the next meeting this Saturday, Nov. 19th, 1-5 pm at Empire High School, 10701 E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way, Tucson, AZ. | Rosemont Public Hearing, Saturday 11/12/2011 |
