Why did you start your business in St. Albert?

We had the opportunity to buy a well-established business in St.

Albert which is a great stable community.  We really like the community feel of St. Albert, the ongoing business development within the city and the people we get to interact with on a regular basis - whether it be a client, an associate, a community member, or other business owners.

Who is your target market / who are your customers?
Our target market is anyone who has pain!  We assess and treat all ages, from children to the elderly; however, the majority of our patients are in the 20-60 age range.  We have specialized programs for MVA injuries, sports injuries, chronic pain, women's health, dizziness and vertigo, and general musculoskeletal injuries (muscles, bones, joints).

What makes your business different or stand out from others?
Our clinic was founded in 1984 and stood the test of time.  We purchased the clinic in 2003, and actually grew during the recession.  We have developed several new programs to help people in pain and our physiotherapists spend more face to face time with patients than is typically seen in other medical related clinics.  We take the time to get to know the patient, understand their needs, and provide education regarding the health care system, insurance as well as their injury and treatment plan.  All of our physiotherapists have taken advanced level courses and continue to pursue excellence in their chosen area of treatment.  In addition, each therapist has at least 15+ years of experience.

What's your favorite thing about St. Albert?
I really like the feeling of community in St. Albert and the friendliness of the residents.  In addition, I enjoy the accessibility to the river valley trails, and the arts and community events that are available on a regular basis.

Do you incorporate technology into your business - Twitter, Facebook, web etc.
Yes, we have had an extensive website for several years www.csaphysio.ca/staff-bios-st-albert/

In addition, we use technology within the clinic to help educate and treat patients.  For example we download apps that are specifically relevant to education and treat patients. In addition, we provide all of our exercise programs by way of computer based software that can create an individualized exercise program as part of a treatment plan.
