SLHS Consecration & Open House Set For This Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
After more than a decade of planning, preparation, and prayer, SLHS will consecrate its new campus this Sunday at 3:00 p.m., followed by an Open House at 4:00 p.m. SLHS welcomes the opportunity to share this celebration with the community. Falcon Volleyball & Cross Country
Teams Point to Important Contests 
The SLHS volleyball and cross country teams have important contests coming up over the next couple of weeks.
The volleyball team (6-4), which is coming off a win over Sage Ridge High School yesterday, takes on Virginia City and Pyramid Lake tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday, respectively, as they look to stay in the top half of the league standings. The SLHS boys' & girls' cross country teams will next be in action on Thursday, October 20, at the Rite of Passage meet in Yearington, which represents the final regular season race for both teams prior to the State Regional meet in Reno on Friday, October 28.
Calling All Parents & Community Members...SLHS Needs Your Support!
The next two weeks will provide Sierra Lutheran families and members of the community at-large the opportunity to support the school by attending one of two important upcoming meetings. The first of these is the October meeting of the school's Booster Club, which will take place next Thursday, October 20, at 6:00 p.m. The following week, on Tuesday, October 25, the school's Dinner-Auction committee will host an important organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Each of these gatherings provides valuable information on how individuals and families can help the school in relationship to their interests - and availability. In addition to helping the school, participation also helps SLHS parents satisfy PIP hours...Mark your calendar today!
Grace Christian Academy to Host Reading, Writing, & Rhythm Concert
Grace Christian Academy School will host the Reading, Writing, & Rhythm Concert on Friday, October 21, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center (BAC). This fall fundraiser for GCA includes:
- Jazz by "Lucky Diamond & the Gents of Jive"
- A few extra songs with GCA students performing with the band.
- Dessert
- Raffle items
- And more!
