FROM THE INTERIM CHAIRMAN

 Jeff Campbell

Dear colleagues and friends,

As most of you probably heard by now, we lost our leader, mentor and friend, Dave Cox, last Saturday from a fatal heart attack. All of us are shocked and saddened by his sudden passing.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday at The Village Community Presbyterian Church, 6225 Paseo Delicias, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. All are invited to attend.

Dave's service to Chairmen's RoundTable goes back to 2006 after he successfully sold MedUnite, an Internet-based healthcare transaction processing company that linked leading insurers to hospitals and physicians groups to provide real time service authorizations, claims processing and electronic payments. Launched in 2000, he grew the company into a $20 million, 100 million transactions per year business. Prior to that, Dave served Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Science Application International Corporation (SAIC). He built the Fortune 500 Company's healthcare business unit from $30 million per year in 1988 to $500 million per year in 2000. Dave was also the Assistant Director of the Selective Service System, Director of Management Services for the U.S. Department of Education and the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Veterans Administration during President Ronald Reagan's Administration.

The Board has asked me to step in as Interim Chairperson for the remainder of the year, at which point we'll vote on a permanent head of this great organization. In the meantime, please join me in offering your thoughts, prayers and support to Dave's family as we continue our mission to strengthen San Diego - one company at a time. He wouldn't want it any other way.

                                                                  Best Regards,    Jeff Campbell
