Spring Break in Honduras

Three mission teams traveled to Honduras this month. All three of these teams met the needs of children and families in the area of Lake Yojoa, Honduras. They served the children in local communities by doing Sidewalk Sunday School, they distributed meals to needy families and they broke ground on the Honduras Life Center orphanage.

The first team, from Palm Beach Atlantic University, began the week by spending time with the children at our current Honduras Life Center and began digging trenches for the water line at the land of the future Honduras Life Center orphanage. The second team was Woodlands Church from Houston, Texas. They helped to construct a church in a small community called El Eden where they also did a two-day Sidewalk Sunday School program for all of the children in the community. The third team was from Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This team did several Sidewalk Sunday School programs in different villages and provided the materials and labor to dig a whole for a new latrine and to replace the roof of a school.

A team from Palm Beach Atlantic University traveled to Cochabamba, Bolivia to serve at the Bolivia Life Center orphanage. They poured into the boys at the Life Center, helping the boys realize their amazing worth. They served in the community through Sidewalk Sunday School. They sanded and painted in New Creations workshop. They organized donations and planted fruit trees as a part of the orphanage's new agriculture program - helping it become more self sustainable. They also participated in the first ever Easter Egg Hunt with all the boys at the Life Center!

Honduras Life Center Orphanage

This month CIN broke ground on the land of the future Honduras Life Center orphanage. Trees were cleared and ditches were dug for the water line for the orphanage. Land was cleared for the main entrance to the property. Soon the plans will be finalized for what will be constructed on the land where children will find refuge and healing from their traumatic pasts.
