Honduras Life Center Coming Soon!

For several years, CIN has devoted much of our resources to meeting the needs of this hurting country. Through our outreach, we have seen first-hand the needs of orphaned and abandoned children in Honduras. In January we signed a contract for 7 acres of land, which will be home to our next Life Center, The Honduras Life Center orphanage.

Next month, three mission teams will be traveling to Honduras and will help to clear the land where the Honduras Life Center orphanage will one day stand. We are looking for construction teams for summer 2012 and 2013 to help build this home to provide refuge and love for hurting children. If you are interested in bringing a team, contact Allie Durrua at allie@cinonline.org.

Not only do we need manual support to build this orphanage, but financial support as well. Will you consider partnering with us to make this new home a reality, where children will find refuge and support? Click the link below.

2012 Online AuctionEbay logo

This year marks CIN's 3rd online auction. In May CIN will host an online auction to raise money in order to impact children around the world. Help us make this auction a success!

Do you have items you could donate to our auction? Professional services, products and use of rental properties make great auction items. In the past, we've received handmade items, spa services, photography packages and an airboat tour in the Everglades, to name a few. Thanks to eBay's free program for nonprofits, we have a very diverse audience of buyers. All types of services and products are welcome.

Child Sponsorship - Honduras

Deisy

Deisy - 13 years old

Deisy was born in Comayagua Honduras, and lived there until the age of 10 with her mother. Deisy was later placed in a home after struggles she was facing at home. She is now receiving love and support at our children's home in Honduras.

Deisy enjoys writing and hopes to one day become a missionary. Deisy, along with other children at our current orphanage in Honduras are in need of sponsorship.

Will you help a child like Deisy by meeting their financial needs in order for her to live a life free from issues of her past? Click the link below to begin your sponsorship. Contact Michelle Shott at michelle@cinonline.org with any questions.

YWAM Survival Camp in Tarija, Bolivia

From February 17-21, 5 boys from the Bolivia Life Center orphanage, along with CIN's Adventure Therapist, Brian McArthur, took part in a survival camp coordinated by YWAM in Tarija, Bolivia.  After a 20 hour bus ride through the Andes mountains on dirt highways, Ramiro, Grover, Roberto, Cristian and Luis Fernando soon started to test and prove their abilities to lead, serve and work as a team with other young people from all over Bolivia. They spent 4 days and nights in the field testing their strength of character, of body, of mind and of faith. Here are some of their thoughts from the camp:

"I really liked the way my group worked together to reach our goals; it produced a great feeling of camaraderie." - Grover

"God taught me a lot about the value of personal responsibility and being punctual." - Luis Fernando

"I had to help the girls on my team a lot. But I was able to evaluate where our team needed the most help, and that's where I stepped in, to make my team stronger. A leader has to be prepared, has to give directions, and has to lead by example." - Roberto

"I learned how to express myself with God through prayer, thanks to all the time my group spent in prayer together in the face of every situation." - Ramiro

"I learned how to depend on God; how to make decisions after asking him for direction. I felt much more confident making decisions for my group after consulting with God. - Cristian
