It Makes Our Hearts Glad... ...that the newly formed Building and Grounds Committee recently met for the first time to discuss needed repairs and maintenance issues. ...that so many from Good Shepherd turned out to share love and serve a meal indoors, for a change, at Church Under the Bridge last Sunday. What began as a few guests turned into many more that were warmly welcomed. ...that our monthly Theology on Tap gatherings continue to provide an opportunity for getting acquainted with each other along with interesting and thought-provoking conversation. "It Makes Our Hearts Glad" provides a way for members and friends to strengthen the fabric of our community by sharing good news or offer affirmations. The word "glad" is derived from Old and Middle English words meaning shining or bright. Add to the weekly "Glad Report" by email or by calling 859.252.1744. |

 Camp Indian Summer
Camp Indian Summer, August 24-26 at the Cathedral Domain, is a special new opportunity for young-at-heart adults of all ages to forget the worries of everyday life and enjoy the kind of carefree existence that made being young so special. No matter where you grew up, or whether attending camp was a part of those early years, you are invited to be a camper for just a few days this August. (Guaranteed it won't be long enough!)
This camp is not specific to any gender or age group and is not a reunion of former campers. Camp Indian Summer is:
* A time to get away from routine and responsibility.
* A time to let someone else do the cooking.
* A chance to explore the streams, caves and forest trails on the 800 acre Cathedral Domain property located in the Daniel Boone National Forest...or to relax on the decks and porches, or beside the swimming pool with a good book, a good nap or good conversation!
* A chance to connect with other young-at-heart adults from near and far.

Support St. Agnes House
We have had a great response to the call to support St. Agnes House this month. There are still a few Post-it notes left on the display in the Loggia. "Adopt" one of the notes and help cover a portion of the utilities expense for this significant outreach ministry to families who have loved ones in our Lexington hospitals.
