Makes Our Hearts Glad
It Makes Our Hearts Glad...

...that Katy Arnold came to church last Sunday with her new baby, Harold Osborn Arnold IV, born on June 29.

...that Daughters of the King and other Good Shepherd members provided a lovely reception following the burial service for the Rev. Deacon Janie Catron on Wednesday. Ann Plummer coordinated the reception, an expression of our hospitality to Janie's family and friends.

"It Makes Our Hearts Glad" provides a way for members and friends to strengthen the fabric of our community by sharing good news or offer affirmations. The word "glad" is derived from Old and Middle English words meaning shining or bright. Add to the weekly "Glad Report" by email or by calling 859.252.1744.

Light refreshments will be provided and all are invited to attend. Deputies to Convention will be given priority seating for this event.

Potluck Meals with Bishop Candidates
Everyone is invited to attend one of the three scheduled potlucks (listed below) for the candidates for Bishop. All of the potlucks begin at 6:00 p.m. and are designed to be a time for parishioners and clergy to meet and eat with the candidates in informal settings.

Tuesday, July 31 - Grace Episcopal Church, Florence
Wednesday, August 1 - Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Winchester
Thursday, August 2 - Trinity Episcopal Church, Danville

Please contact parish secretary Cindy McKee by Friday, July 20 if you plan to attend one the potlucks. The three hosting churches need a head count to make the necessary preparations.
