Dear Good Shepherd Family,

I hope this finds you all having a good week so far! I wanted to send out a quick and friendly reminder about Be the Church, which is this Sunday, April 29. If you have not signed up yet, you can still do so by sending me an e-mail (goodpaster@uky.edu) and letting me know you will be joining us. Please include your name, the names of any other members of your family attending, your phone number, and the names and ages of any children who will be staying at Good Shepherd during the event.

Remember, this is such a wonderful way to live out our Baptismal covenant and serve others. We will gather as a group in the Undercroft after the 11:15 service, enjoy a meal together and then head out to various community projects to "Love and Serve the Lord!" Some examples of projects include working with the Hope Center, visiting the homebound, working at an Alzheimer's unit at a local nursing home, helping out at St. Agnes House, and working with Reading Camp. We will all serve for a few hours and then gather back at Good Shepherd for a reflection and dismissal with blessing.

If you would like to help with food, I am also looking for people to bring one of the following: a side dish (such as a green salad, fruit salad, etc.) or some type of dessert (cookies or brownies). Again, please just e-mail me if you can help (goodpaster@uky.edu). I can't wait to see you all there!
