From the Interim Rector
Greetings!
As I reflect on the past year, with enormous help from the media, I'm faced with this question: Will the new year really be new? What's the difference between December 31 and January 1? Really? Will January 1 be any different from December 30 or June 30 or last January 1? Why is it we make such a fuss over the changing of the year? READ MORE I'll see you in Church!

Pastoral Care Ministry By whom is this duty [visiting the sick] to be performed? The answer is ready: By all that desire to "inherit the kingdom" of their Father, which was "prepared forth from the foundation of the world." For thus saith the Lord, "Come, ye blessed; --inherit the kingdom;--For I was sick, and ye visited me." (Taken from a sermon by John Wesley)
A new Pastoral Care Ministry is being formed at Good Shepherd. A small group of interested parishioners met with Father Dominic in October to help plan this ministry whose purpose is to visit the sick and homebound of our parish. You can assist this ministry by contacting the Church office if you or someone you know needs a visit. We would also like to encourage you to join us in this ministry. For more information, contact one of the Ministry Leaders--Dianne Griffith, Marie Ward or Paul Kowalski.

"This program is a remembrance and a celebration of the life and vision of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Though Dr. King has long been taken from us, his words, actions, and promising vision should continue to live on within each one of us, and it is my hope that this musical narrative will help to remind us all of the progress that we have made and the work that still needs to continue on if we are to ever be truly free from the bonds of racism and discrimination" ~ Whit Whitaker |
