Sorrow in Our Parish
Dorothy Peteet Mitchell, mother of Good Shepherd communicant William Mitchell, died on May 22. She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral where she had served on the Vestry, President of the Women, member Daughters of the King, and had taught Sunday School. Read her obituary. Visitation will be Monday, May 30, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Milward-Broadway. Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at Christ Church Cathedral. O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of your servant Dorothy, and grant her an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of your saints; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
