Lexington's Hungry Children Need Your Help
Good Shepherd will be starting a new outreach program this fall--Backpack Blessings. Unfortunately, there are a number of children who receive breakfast and lunch at school but have no food to come home to in the evenings or on the weekend. When children return to school this August, we will begin a program where food will be discreetly provided for them to pick up each Friday. We are looking for people to help pick up food, fill food packages and get them delivered to the school. If you feel called to assist our community's children in this way, please contact Elise Johnstone before May 8. We will begin the organizational phase of this project later in the summer. |
