Greetings!
One of the most exciting parts of the process for calling a new rector is an interactive parish self-study known as "Holy Conversations." As members of the Church of the Good Shepherd, we are not simply a part of our parish, our diocese, the Episcopal Church, and the world-wide Anglican Communion, we are part of The Greatest Story Ever Told. As people of The Story, we are invited to come together for four conversations, which will be led by the Diocesan Leadership Team. At each "conversation", we are invited to tell our story - how each of us has experienced Good Shepherd and share our wishes, hopes, and dreams for the future into which God is calling us.
Whether you have been at Good Shepherd for a few months or for many years, your part of the story is essential to understanding who we are, what we value, and where we want to go in the future. Please plan now to make a special effort to be a part of each of the four different conversations. Mark your calendars! A light supper will be provided for each session at Second Presbyterian's Parish Hall. In addition, there will be a special program at Good Shepherd for children and youth under age 16 each evening. Transportation assistance is available.
