Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead – not the words that you ever associate with Mushroom Lovers, but they are the title of an inspirational film about the benefits of plant based foods. We gave away copies of the film to 10 lucky Mushroom Lovers Club members who wanted to know more about the story of Joe Cross and how he radically changed his diet and achieved good health.

Thinking about Easter and what to feed the hungry hordes? Grab some mushrooms and you are ready for a deliciously healthy Easter break. Mushrooms are so quick and easy to prepare and are so versatile. After a lazy sleep-in, why not get the day off to a great start with sautéed mushrooms on toast; or you can enjoy mushrooms rolled in a wrap for a light lunch or even barbecued for dinner. No matter the cooking style or cuisine, mushrooms are a real winner this Easter.
At Easter we traditionally think seafood so why not team mushrooms with seafood for a delicious (not to mention nutritious) feast. Check out the following recipes:
A Thai Mushroom & Fish Curry is a winner for the whole family – spicy, aromatic and with the mushrooms soaking up all those delicious flavours.
If you are a salmon fan, then perhaps our Mushrooms with Seared Salmon is just the dish for you. All those fabulous flavoursome flat mushrooms teamed temptingly with the salmon. Simple yet satisfying!
And for our prawn lovers we have Barbecued Flat Mushrooms with Prawns. Irresistibly beautiful mushrooms partnered with prawns embellished with garlic and parsley.
Our last suggestion is not seafood but a favourite with adults and kids alike - the Mediterranean Mushroom Pizza. A tasty vegetarian alternative that is a real winner with everyone.

Well summer might technically be over, but there is no need to put away that summer attitude just yet. You can still be a little bit different and enjoy our Summer Mushrooms recipes any time they take your fancy.
