~ C. A. Moore Client Comments

" Connie is highly effective at matching client positions with the right person for the position and the organization. I have the unique perspective of having worked with Connie on both sides of the search process. She recruited and placed me earlier in my career. As a candidate I was really impressed with her approach and how she was concerned not just with skill sets, but also with understanding my personality and how I would fit in the organization. She didn't want to place me just to get paid, but was more interested in making sure both her client and I would mesh well over the long haul. I was so impressed with Connie's approach that I later enlisted her help on some position searches I had open. I found that same care, creative approach and concern for matching people to the organization that I experienced as a candidate. It made the hiring process so much easier knowing that Connie was only bringing in quality people who fit our corporate culture. I highly recommend Connie to anyone needing help with personnel searches." ~
"The common thread in the years I have known Connie is she is able to quickly identify qualified candidates that are a true match with what both the employer and candidate are looking for; it is a win/win for all parties."
~ "Connie is a problem solver. She has a special talent for matching the talents and strengths of individual candidates with the unique needs of her diverse client base." ~
"Your ability to listen, separate the wheat from the chaff, and then execute on the needs is amazing and appreciated." |

Being Resiliently Thankful This Holiday Season Is So Important By Steve Beseke
With the holidays nearly in full swing, there is so much to be thankful in our fantastic world. Yet, so many of you, including me, have been rocked by the economy in myriad of ways in 2009.
In previous articles, I mentioned that I was laid off from my dream job earlier this year because of the economic perfect storm. You may have had a similar plight. Or, you are trying to adapt to a new scenario at your work because you are being asked to do much more because many colleagues have unfortunately received the pink slip. Sometimes even more challenging, you may have dealt with a personal issue of losing a loved one, struggles with your kids, or the ending of a long-term relationship.
No matter the instance, there are very few of these circumstances that should make you drop to your knees in shame, regret or sorrow. While your stress may have reached a crescendo this year, the All-Mighty - no matter what your faith - has a plan for all of us... Read more |
The Importance of Cultural Fit By Bob Corlett

Bob Corlett |
It's often said that people are hired for skills but fired for "fit." But what is fit, and how can you determine it before making a hire? While definitions abound, I think fit is partly about personal values and partly about "how we like to do things around here."
While small variations in fit are usually tolerated, big variations, over time, become irritations to everyone on the team. Eventually the sum of those irritations begins to gum up the works, draining everyone's energy and lowering team productivity. The entire team is relieved and re-energized when the misfit finally leaves. If you are the misfit - as I have been - it's torture to be in an organization that is not in keeping with your personal values.
So how do you avoid hiring a mis-fit? Read more... |
