Greetings! Hope you are able to keep cool in these hot summer days.
July was a great month! From our first Community Healing Day event, we managed to donate $260 to Mobile loaves and fishes. Although it was not a lot of money, it was something we did together to make a difference for the community, and we hope that you will be able to join us for the next one later this month.
On July 26th, we kicked off the first 21-day training at the center, the first of the monthly ongoing training programs.
Did you know that it takes at least 21 days to create a new habit because of the time required for new neural connections to form in the brain? 21-day training with Dahn Yoga/Brain Education principles is essentially about taking actions to help you rewire your brain in a way that will make your life more satisfactory to you.
Are you in charge of your brain? Every conscious
action we take is triggered by thoughts/emotions and those thoughts/emotions are triggered by belief systems and/or memory. Are you aware of your belief systems and memories that are triggering your thoughts and therefore your actions? Meditation practice helps us to create space in our minds to observe our thoughts/emotions as well as our belief systems, and to release and let go of the ones that do not serve our purpose. Yoga practice helps us to be able to sit comfortably to meditate as long as it takes to clear the mind so we can be fully present in taking the right action.
For the month of August, we have our monthly
Power brain family workshop on the 7th,
Brain Wave Vibration workshop, on the 14th,
Healing Chakra workshop in Houston on the 21st and
Community Healing Day on the 28th.
