Matching Donation Challenge!
Beginning today and continuing through May 1, donors like you have the opportunity to make their dollars go even further toward addressing the issues of the Downtown Sailing Center's fleet and facility.
During this period, any donation made to the Fleet and Facility Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $2500 thanks to a generous donation by Downtown Sailing Center member Tracey Schutty.
Any size gift to the Fleet and Facility Fund - online, by mail or by phone - will be matched in full until May 1, or as long as matching funds are available. We encourage donors to also consider taking advantage of company matching programs as well.
The Fleet and Facility Fund is an organization wide, grassroots effort to educate, engage and unite Downtown Sailing Center members to raise the funds necessary to maintain our fleet of more than 40 boats. The goal is to raise more than $60,000 by October 2012.
"The Tracey Schutty Fleet and Facility Fund Matching Gift Challenge is an invitation for you everyone to play a meaningful role in our efforts to maintain and improve our fleet and facility, and help us get to the finish line of our race to raise funds this year," said Kristen Berry, executive director of the Downtown Sailing Center. "This special springtime matching campaign highlights the importance and widespread impact of donations to the sailing center, and the commitment of our generous members."
