AGM Wrap Up
Thank you to everyone who joined more than 70 DSC members and friends last Saturday for the Downtown Sailing Center's Annual General Meeting. The meeting format allowed participants to engage discussion leaders in small groups to discuss the strategic plan and finances, the state of the fleet and facility, volunteerism, membership and the programs of the Downtown Sailing Center.

Volunteer Happy Hour
Did you know that Mardi Gras is this Tuesday? What better way to celebrate then with your DSC friends and volunteers!
The DSC is holding our monthly Volunteer Happy Hour across the harbor at the Fieldhouse in Canton. The Fieldhouse has been welcoming sailors ever since they opened. Our friends at BCYA make it their weekly stop throughout their season and will be joining us too!
The Fieldhouse has been kind enough to offer DSC attendees 2-for-1 drink specials from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
If you know anyone who lives in the Canton area bring them along to enjoy in the festivities. Parking is easily found throughout the Can Company.

Fair Winds and Following Seas
Grady Byus, Office and Membership Manager, announced this week that he has accepted a new position with North Point Yacht Sales in Annapolis, MD. Grady's last day at the Downtown Sailing Center will be March 9, 2012.
Please join us in thanking Grady for his tremendous contribution to the Downtown Sailing Center. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. |
