Join the Downtown Sailing Center staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, members, and program partners for our 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM.) The meeting will be held at the Baltimore Museum of Industry's Decker Gallery.
The AGM will kick off with a pot-luck style social and opening comments from DSC Executive Director Kristen Berry and Board President Kathleen Lester.
Please register today so we can have your name tag ready! You can also register to bring a dish to the pot-luck or volunteer to support the event!
During the AGM you will have the opportunity to step into any one of five discussions during three break-out sessions. The discussions will be repeated during each of the three consecutive sessions. Notes and minutes from each discussion group will be available following the AGM. The AGM discussions will be held on the following topics:
Mission/Vision/Values - The future of the Downtown Sailing Center
Volunteerism - How to engage with the volunteer programs of the Downtown Sailing Center
Program - Recreational, Educational, Community Outreach and Accessible Sailing programs of the Downtown Sailing Center
Membership Matters - A panel discussion on membership at the Downtown Sailing Center
Fleet and Facility - A panel discussion on the state of the fleet and facility of the Downtown Sailing Center
Each session will have a panel of speakers and will be held three times during the night. The pot luck and refreshments will be available all night.
The schedule for the AGM is as follows:
4:00 P.M. - 4:30 P.M. : Meet and Greet
4:30 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. : Welcome address by staff and board.
5:10 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. : First break out session
6:10 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. : Second break out session
7:10 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. : Third and final break out session
8:00 P.M. - 8:45 P.M. : Closing comments and wrap-up
Please attend the break out sessions in any order you chose, but understand the sessions will be limited to 30 participants each.
