October Friday Social
Your favorite member social is back! Join us Saturday, October 29th for the Halloween Costume/Chili Cook-Off social.
The social will begin at 3:00 P.M. with a fun sail in the harbor until 5:00 P.M. Following the sail members will show off the ghoulish and grandest costumes under the pavilion with our usual potluck style dinner.
Remember, this is a chili cook-off too so bring your best chili of any type to compete among the DSC best. The DSC will provide power for crock pots or whatever cookery necessary to serve your chili.

Open Sail Reminder
Fall brings with it brisk winds and pleasant temperatures! Along with these great sailing conditions comes dwindling daylight. Because of the shortened daylight hours formal Member Open Sails are over for the season, but we hope members continue to sail long throughout the fall and winter.
In order to help facilitate member sailing, we have added a forum so members can openly communicate about sailing with one another. This forum, the Open sailing Forum, should serve as a place where skipper appeal for crew on Wednesday's and Sunday's and crew show their availability to go sailing.

Fall US Sailing Powerboat Courses
Last US Sailing Powerboating Courses of the Year!
Register now for the last remaining US Sailing Powerboating courses being offered at the DSC. This two Saturday course (9-4) will prepare you to be a more competent and knowledgeable small power boater and provide you an opportunity to secure your US Sailing Safe Powerboat handling certificate! Space is limited for the last two classes - so register today!
