Irene Clean Up
A very special thanks to the nearly three dozen volunteers who supported the Downtown Sailing Center's Hurricane Irene preparation efforts. With your help we suffered very limited damage to our fleet and facility.
We are in "put it back together" mode and are seeking volunteer support throughout the week. Volunteers are needed to help us reorganize A and B docks, check and prepare J/22 and Sonar rigs, clean and inventory boats and dispose of debris around the facility.
We are also using this opportunity to inventory "things" around the sailing center (PFD's, lines, fenders, sails, etc.) and your help is greatly appreciated. Please email Grady Byus with times that you can help and your area of interest. |

Vrooom! Start Your Engines!
Starting Friday, Septmber 2, The Baltimore Grand Prix will be roaring around downtown Baltimore which could mean BIG headaches for DSC members trying to come to the sailing center. You can read about road closures and official traffic pattern changes here.
In addition to changes to potential routes to and from the sailing center; the BMI parking lot will be used for Baltimore Grand Prix parking. While there will be a few spaces available in the gravel lot for DSC members (DSC bumper stickers will help you get in hassle free) space will be extremely limited.
