Ya' Gotta Practice!
The Ya' Gotta Regatta is just a little over a month away. To best prepare our racers we are going to have a few training sessions leading up to the event. These sessions will include a quick chalk talk on the basics of racing, rules of the road and sail trim. One of the sessions is going to be next Wednesday, August 24th, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and we are in need of volunteers.
It will be a great opportunity for volunteers and sailors to learn a little more about racing. If you are interested in helping out please register online. We will need at least four volunteers for safety boat, transfers, and rigging.
With your help and a little practice, this can be the best Ya' Gotta Regatta yet! |

Membership Tips
This is a new section of the DSC Currents Newsletter. With so many new members and skippers taking advantage of the mid-season discount this is a great time to share with everyone a few tips that can help you maximize your membership experience.
This week's "membership tip" is about event registration. DSC members are strongly encouraged to register for events(but often not required). Registration is easy (usually just three clicks of the mouse!) and helps event organizers plan and execute great events. When you register you can select (can we do a screen capture here?) to make your registration "visible" to other members and the public. This is a wonderful way to "get social" with your event registration.
To make your event registration visible to everyone, simply click the box on the registration confirmation page when it asks if you would like to "include name in list of event attendees."
