Sail For Kids - July Heat Brings Hot Fundraising The race to be the top fundraising is heating up! With new entries in the cruising and one design divisions some teams are quickly reaching their fundraising goals - and beyond! We are more than 40% of the way to our goal of raising $20,000 for Downtown Sailing Center youth and community outreach programs. You can watch (and join) the fundraising race here! We hope everyone comes out to sail during the Sail For Kids Regatta and Fundraiser. But if you can't join use on the water; plan on joining us for the Sail For Kids barbecue and awards party. This fun and family friendly catered barbecue is a great opportunity to join your friends for great food, drinks, games and live music Sunday, July 24 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the most beautiful spot in the harbor. Tickets for the Sail For Kids Barbecue and Awards Party are on sale! You can purchase tickets for your whole family here. July Friday Social
Join us this Friday for Friday Night Fun Racing and the monthly Friday Social. Registration is open for both events on the calendar. See who is coming and help us plan by letting us know what you'll be bringing to this pot-luck party by registering today!

Note: Start time of the Friday Social has been moved to 6:00 P.M. to allow a community outreach event to wrap up.

Open House - Call for Skippers
The Downtown Sailing Center is a volunteer-driven organization that instills confidence, teamwork and a sense of community through educational and recreational sailing programs. We are committed to providing access to these life enriching programs to everyone in the greater Baltimore area, especially youth and those with disabilities or limited opportunity.
One of the most important programs we provide is our free to the public Open House sailing. This Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. we will be providing the ONLY free sailing opportunity in Baltimore's harbor.
To provide this important public service we rely on volunteers - including skippers. We expect dozens of sailors to join us this Saturday. Please go to the calendar and register as a volunteer or volunteer skipper and help share the joy of sailing in Baltimore.
