MAC Partners With DSC
Issak Denison wrote, "The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea." The Downtown Sailing Center and the MAC have partnered to help you get all three.
At the DSC we believe in a healthy lifestyle. We want to do everything possible to help you, our members, enjoy every minute of your sailing. To ensure our members have the best sailing season yet we have secured a discounted membership rate for members of the DSC at the MAC. This is just another benefit of being a member of Baltimore's Downtown Sailing Center.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the MAC or are already one, call or email Brian Smith to inquire about getting your sailing and physical fitness off to a great start!
Email Brian here or call him on his direct line at (443)451-5937. And join us March 15, 2011 for an open house at the MAC's Harbor East location.

Education is a the hot topic on the DSC blog...
Here is an excerpt from a blog post written by DSC instructor and member Randy Gray:
"On Friday the 25th, when I saw the DSC post on Facebook with the graph of wind speeds at the FSK bridge, I was a little intrigued. It is not often that you see 60 kt winds here on the Chesapeake Bay. And in the rare times that you do, it is normally due to a large storm. But there is an even more interesting graph from that NOAA sensor.
In addition to charting the wind speed, they also offer a graph that combines sustained wind speed, wind gusts, and barometric pressure..."

BMI Bull And Oyster Roast
The Baltimore Museum of Industry's Bull and Oyster Roast is this Saturday, March 5 from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. The roast is held every year to benefit the BMI's educational programs.
To show support for the BMI and their programs, we would love to have a table of DSC members and friends. This popular event will include live and silent auctions, raffles, casino games, plus the return of the popular wine and bacon wheels. And, returning this year, local band A Classic Case will perform classic rock and roll for dancing.
Tickets are $50 per person if we book an entire table of 10. Help us show support and join us for a great night.
Contact Grady if you are interested in attending. |

Sign up for Saturday's work party today!
If you can't make this Saturday's work day - do not despair! There are many more work days to come this month. Check the calendar to learn more. |
