Trivia!

Send in your answers to Grady and receive a free DSC T-Shirt for being the first to answer correctly. As always, check our Facebook page for the answer once the correct answer has been received.

What was the square knot known as to the ancient Greeks?

Last weeks question was:

When describing navigation lights, what does the term "occulting" mean?

Answer:

"An occulting light is a rhythmic light in which the total duration of light in each period is clearly longer than the total duration of darkness and in which the intervals of darkness (occultations) are all of equal duration."

Congrats to winner Nick Thomas!

Volunteer

Spring is coming and it is time to get the boats whipped into shape! There are several ways you can volunteer and help us get the DSC ready for spring.  There are volunteer jobs for everyone - including work that doesn't require you to get dirty!

Raptor Cockpit RepairDSC Director of Operations Steve Maddox is busy working away at our indoor storage facility and he needs your help to get the boats repaired, bottoms painted and more.

Ever wonder exactly what goes on at our storage facility? Steve posted a great piece in our blog, so check it out!

Register for an Indoor Maintenance Seminar or call the office for details on how you can help.

This evenet showcased the great opportunities for partnership between the two organizations.

More than 40 people enjoyed watching DSC stalwarts Santa Wallace and Ed Duggan show off their Access Dinghy prowess in a rematch of last year's Ya Gotta Regatta.
