Hello!

This is Grady Byus, the DSC Office Manager. One of my duties as the office manager is to oversee the communications between the DSC office staff, the members, students, program partners, volunteers and friends of the Baltimore's Downtown Sailing Center.

Far and away, the best part of my job is shaking hands and talking to everyone who visits the DSC on a daily basis. One of the key factors to the success of the DSC is how well we communicate, and when your not here in our office to chat we turn to e-communications.

These communication tools include the weekly newsletter, social tools like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and more. In order to understand how we can best communicate with you when you are not in the office or out sailing, I have put together a brief survey that will help us build more effective, informative and fun communications for you!

By the way, did you know the DSC now has a blog and member forums on our new website? We will be regularly posting to the blog so check it out often. You can even post comments!

If you are a member of the DSC for the 2011 season you will have access to member forums. The forums will provide a safe place to communicate with other members of the DSC whether you are looking for a sailing buddy for your weekly outing, or want tips on the perfect jib car placement on a J/22. Hint-Not a member yet? If you join as a Volunteer member(its free) you will have access to the forums too!

Using the information we gather in the survey we will be launching a new newsletter in February so stay tuned!
