Give the Gift of Membership!

In the first week of our December membership promotion we successfully registered 15 new and returning members.  We would love to outpace that number this week and next, and we encourage you to join today!

The 2011 season promises to be a great year for members of the DSC. You can make this is our most successful year ever by renewing your membership or giving one as a holiday gift today.

Membership to Baltimore's Downtown Sailing Center is one of the best gifts you can give this year.  And if your not sure exactly what level or class your friend, loved one, or colleague wants this year you can always give a DSC gift certificate.  Contact Grady to learn more.

New memberships and renewals can now be handled through our new online sign-up system. Visit our website to check it out and sign up TODAY!

Our rates are increasing.  But, during the month of December we are offering 2011 memberships at the 2010 rates. This special pricing is only good until the end of the year, so don't delay.

Upgrade Update!

Last week we announced the launching of the new DSC website. The functionality of the site far outpaces what the DSC has had in the past and we believe it will dramatically improve the information we can convey to the public and our members.

You may have noticed the new calendar that allows you to register for upcoming courses and special events.  We have begun populating the calendar and encourage you to explore and register for our upcoming offerings.

First up on the list is our winter frostbite racing series (registration is required) and the DSC Holiday Bash at Little Havana.

Both events are low key opportunities for you to stay connected with the DSC family this winter as well as a good excuse to explore the new site.

A very special THANK YOU to those "early adopters" of the new system who have taken the time to join and register.

We recognize that there are still a few kinks to work out and we appreciate your understanding as we develop the site. We've resolved most errors reported so far, but there are outstanding known issues and most likely some problems that have not been reported as of yet.

It is expected that there will be weekly changes and improvements to the site. You can help us reach our goal of having a site that works well for all users and provides the highest value by testing the public sections of the site, joining and testing the member only sections of the site and providing feedback. Send us your feedback here!

Special note for skipper level members:

We are working out the bugs for connecting to our boat reservation system. If you are interested in reserving a boat in the month of December, please call the office and we will manually enter your reservation.

The Results Are In!

Last month we sent you a simple three question poll and got some great results.  More than 135 of you answered, and the results are overwhelming!

55% of respondents said they would absolutely recommend the DSC to a friend - a perfect 10! Another 36% gave us a 7 or higher.

The other questions helped us understand why you would recommend the DSC and what we can do to make you more likely to recommend the DSC to a friend or colleague.

We will be sorting through the results over the next few weeks and reporting our findings and what we plan to do to improve the DSC experience!

Haven't taken this poll yet? Click here to do so and let us know what you think!

Stay tuned for more polls to come. Your feedback is an important part of the decision making process at the Downtown Sailing Center. You can make a big impact with just a few clicks!
