Last week the outreach program worked with the Kennedy Krieger Cerebral Palsy Camp. The camp was formed because researchers found that children with CP were more likely to choose sedentary leisure activities (like watching TV and playing video games) than active leisure activities (like sports). Sailing was one of several different sports camp coordinators wanted to have the campers try, and the DSC was a perfect match.

 

The first of two groups sailed last week and had a blast -- the second group comes in August. Remember, the more people that hear about what we do, the better we can serve the community.
