Ideas for Reusing Old Magazines
What to do with them after you're done reading?
Even with the widespread popularity of the internet, many of us still enjoy reading paper magazines. After reading them though, what do you do with them? We've had a lot of magazine donations, and National Geographic sets. So many, WE are overwhelmed - so we know you are too! There are a lot of ways to reuse magazines. Come in today to pick up some magazines and start reusing! We also carry magazines with pretty good content, too. We have science, art, architecture, craft, and beading magazines that still have useful information and demonstrated techniques.
Not sure what to make? There are a lot of websites that give ideas. Here are just a few craft ideas and websites that list even more.

"It's a Contest" Winner!!!
Congratulations to Lauren Meyer!
With 17 likes on her photo, Lauren's framed "S" won our contest.
Lauren is a school teacher and uses the summer to work on her many craft projects. This project was actually a gift for her friend. Without even knowing it, her friend gave the idea for this great gift.
With her friend getting married this fall, Lauren created this framed "S" to represent her friend's new last name. The gift was such a hit at the bridal shower, Lauren is thinking about making these to sell now!
Thanks to everyone that participated! Everyone made such wonderful creations!
Missed the contest? You can still check out the "It's a Contest" Event on our Facebook Page to view all of the really neat objects made from reused materials!

So, What's This All About?
The Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation saw a need in the community to accomplish several things: 1. Support the arts and arts education, 2. Support environmental education in our communities, 3. Impact the environment by reducing the rate of waste disposal, 4. create a place for everyone to have access to quality materials and 5. Support itself in light of the difficult economic times. So donate your discards and shop re-use. Its about making a difference!
