Earth Day Celebration!

Urbana Park District's Anita Purves Nature Center had it's Earth Day celebration with 10 kindergarten through 5th grade classes on Monday, April 18th. Around 200 students expressed their appreciation of nature's beauty and their concern for it by drawing onto prepared billboard vinyl. This vinyl will be assembled into huge "quilts" that will be displayed at the Lincoln  Square Village beginning Friday, April 22 to Friday the 29th. Come see and celebrate!

Our educator and 5 terrific volunteers did the preparation and the activity. Help is still needed to assemble the quilts on Thursday April 21 at the nature center!! Contact Claire at
claire@the-idea-store.org if you available and would like more information!
