We have EXTENDED the date to submit your re-use creative art work for the Indi Go Show: TRASH:2011. Art work can be submitted no later than April 8th! Drop off work at the store or call 398-2873, the CUSF office, to arrange pick-ups or get your questions answered.

Wednesday, April 20 from 6 - 8 p.m.
Please register by 7 p.m. on April 19.
Adults. Maximum 8 participants.
Instructors: Peter Woods and Carol Jo Morgan

$15 per person includes all materials, instruction, and use of our tools.
Safety first! Please bring your own eye protection and gloves.

   

 Do you wonder what the insides of your home electronics look like? Relieve stress constructively while learning how to safely recover great reusable and recyclable materials for future creative projects like sculpture and jewelry-making. You'll take home so great materials to work with.

Office Supplies Jewelry

 

Saturday, April 23 from 1-3 p.m.
Adults. Maximum 8 participants. Please register by 7 p.m. on April 22.
Instructors: Carol Hays and Carol Jo Morgan

$20 per person includes all materials, inspirations and instructions, and use of our tools.

 

Go beyond the function of basic office supplies to discover their after-work alternative wearable possibilities! Learn design and construction techniques to make several clever water-cooler conversation pieces. People will be surprised to learn what your new jewelry is made of.

The BoneYard Arts Festival 

 Friday, April 8th from 10am - 7p.m, here at the store!   

The I.D.E.A. Store will have educational displays, consignment art, creative re-use materials available for sale, creative re-use projects for public participation and many surprises. 


Greener Living Expo

 Saturday, April 9th from 8am-1pm  

Where: The News-Gazette's distribution center
Cost: $5
What: Showcase of environmentally friendly products and services offered by more than 40 vendors!

TRASH:2011, the Indi Go Gallery Re-use Art Exhibit

 Starts Tuesday, April 12th from 6-8p.m.  

Where: Indi Go Art Gallery in Champaign
What: The chain that the community has constructed will be installed and all the art that has been generously donated will be displayed!

Urbana-Champaign Mini Maker Faire

 Saturday, April 16th    

 The I.D.E.A. Store will be sponsoring the faire from 10am - 2pm at the IMC next to Lincoln Square mall! We will be hosting a deconstruction booth and a chain-making booth - out of bill board material of course. The Faire will showcase different crafters, artists, and builders from the Urbana-Champaign community!
