Now that the weather is warming up and you have had plenty of time inside to think of some creative ideas, it's time to walk on over to pick up some of our common, but unusual materials! With our ever changing materials and exciting workshops, the possibilities for your ideas are endless!

Basic Bookbinding, Saturday, February 12th, 1-3 pm
Adults. Class size is limited to 8 participants. Instructor: Shauna Carey $25 per person includes all materials, inspirations and instructions, and use of our tools.

Wednesday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 23rd from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Adults. Class size is limited to 6. Instructor: Melissa Mitchell, experienced mixed media artist. $35 per person includes basic materials, inspirations and instructions, and use of our tools. (You are welcome to bring items and photos of your own to include in your project)
In this introductory session, Melissa will show you a variety of found object shrine themes, structures, and materials. You'll develop your own theme and prepare your shrine's container, in this case the ever-popular cigar box. In Session 2, you'll use interesting found objects and a range of composition and attachment skills to assemble the shrine. The results will be amazing and inspiring!
Creative Carving, Saturday, February 19th, 1-3 p.m.
Ages 6 and up. Workshop size is limited to 10 participants. Instructor: members of the Kickapoo Karvers $5 per person, includes all materials, loan of safe carving tools, and experienced instruction
In this creative workshop, you'll lean the skill of carving with personal instruction by the Kickapoo Karvers, a talented woodcarving group from Danville, Illinois. Instruction is one-to-one during the two hours, so you can join in, try your hand at the project, and take your creation away with you as you finish. This is a wonderful parent-child opportunity!

Consider crafting for The I.D.E.A. Store. We are seeking donations of various works of art that are created from supplies from the store or in general arts and crafts made from re-used materials. Artwork that is donated will be part of The I.D.E.A. Store gallery exhibit at Indi Go Artist Co-Op and the CUSF Gala.
We will accept all types of art donations including but not limited to sculpture, clothing, home decor, cards, crafts, jewelry, everyday items, etc. Find out more details!
